Zanzibar

An extremely diverse little island which I was lucky enough to be taken to on a family holiday for some R&R about 5 years ago. I remember falling in love with it instantaneously.

Zanzibar’s stone town is renowned for it’s  elaborate bas-relief carved doors and mazes of narrow streets.

If you ever go, you must go on a spice tour. Don’t be surprised if your host starts singing ‘Asante sana squashed banana’ whilst climbing a palm tree!

If you want to enter the beautiful under water world then take a snorkel and a locals boat out, and see the most picturesque coral and fishes!
