As of this Friday, I will have left the dead dull university library for 2 weeks of working and playing hard in the Alp’s favourite party resort, Val Thorens.
I’m sure for many people that a holiday to Val Thorens doesn’t entail much skiing – but I would be a fool not to, as the forecast says that it shall snow all week, and be a perfect fresh powder blue bird weekend. (Time is going very slowly right now)
Val Thorens is the highest resort in the 3 Valleys (and at this time of year will be rammed with students and seasonaires) the other 2 main resorts are Meribel and Courcheval (a lot smarter, not quite in the student budget, sadly!)
So by Saturday morning, i’ll be dusting off my skis and ready for a good days skiing on some fresh powder, followed by an afternoon of après at Bar 360 (partying and tanning at the same time, such a plus!), followed by an evening at Malaysia (let’s hope I’m not on sober night patrol that night)
A university ski week is not for the weak, there is little time for sleep, to ensure you make full use of the skiing on your doorstep, so for a rep, like me, don’t expect a wink of sleep at all!
