The Story of How Techno Unified Post-Wall Berlin

A very interesting read about how the music culture brought the people of east and west Germany together after the fall of the Berlin wall, as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of the fall.

It’s amazing how the history from the second world war still engulfs Berlin, the venues (many of them abandoned) really make the techno scene what it is today;

” It must have also been quite liberating, dancing in places where previously you might have been shot for trespassing.”

Here is the article about the book; Der Klang der Familie [ The Sound Of Family – english translation coming November 9th, 2014 ] which is definitely worth a read in my opinion.
